All children are offered developmental checks as per the Red Book.
Parents will receive appointments automatically for their children via the computer call-up system. Please contact reception for the times of the baby clinics in which these checks are carried out. Don't Forget the Red Book!

Each year a programme of influenza vaccinations is carried out in the surgery and it is recommended that patients at greatest risk, eg the elderly, diabetics, asthmatics and those with a history of heart disease, take advantage of this vaccination.
Cancer of the cervix can be prevented and all female patients between 25 and 64 years of age are advised to have regular smear tests. These are important because they can detect early signs of a disease which is easily treated.
A call and recall system is operated to remind you when your test is due.
Our practice sister see patients in clinics throughout the week at various times for these tests. Please ask at reception for details.
We are happy to undertake, by appointment, medical examinations and reports for insurance companies, employees, solicitors, fitness to do certain sports, elderly drivers etc.

Please check the charge when booking your appointment or handing in your form.
When you undergo blood tests or X-rays, please ensure that you ask when the result will be available and from whom you should obtain the result.
If you telephone the surgery for results please call after 2pm. This helps to free up the telephone line for urgent appointments in the mornings.
If you make an appointment for the specific purpose of obtaining a test result, tell the receptionist so that she ensure we have the result back from the laboratory
In order to maintain confidentiality, test results will only be given to patients themselves, or parents of minors if appropriate, when satisfactory identification has been obtained by the receptionist.
